Proper Ways to Wash Your Microbead Pillows

If you often use your microbead pillows then it is important that you wash it as well. Unlike any other kinds of pillows like those memory foam or down pillows which you can only wash the pillowcase, this particular one can actually be wash as whole but it is important that you apply the right method of washing it so as to prevent it from getting deform. You can always refer to the label or tag on the pillow itself for more details about the washing method.

If you want to wash your microbead pillows then you can use a mild cleanser which you can actually buy in your favorite grocery store. You can also use soapy water and a soft sponge to spot clean it. This will prevent it from getting soaked as too much water can damage the fabric. Never use strong cleansing agent, soaps and most of all never pour or even sprinkle bleach on the fabric.

But if you have small kids or even some pets around then spot cleaning is not as effective as it sounds like. You can wash it using your good old washing machine but be careful with it. Just turn on your washing machine in slow spin and use a mild detergent. It will also help if you will use cold water when washing it as this will help restore the softness of the fabric. Hot water can actually damage the fabric as well as the beads inside the pillow. Never use the dryer once you are done washing it. The heat will surely damage the beads as well as the fabric. Once the beads are damaged, it will surely create a sticky mess on the fabric and you will no longer be able to use it again.

Another thing you need to do is to put the pillow inside the other pillowcase so as to prevent the beads from falling out of the pillow. Consider these tips and you will surely get to wash your favorite pillow with ease!
